CMS

Generally, a CMS has it’s focus on creating a website that will be populated and built by a group of users. These users, with different levels of rights and permissions, build the CMS and make it available internally in a company – via an Intranet, or externally to the world via the Internet. A CMS allows non-technical users to make changes to any existing content, or add new content, with little or no training. The system typically requires certain expertise to set-up and add features, but it is primarily a maintenance tool for non-technical administrators.
The unique and interesting element is that these users can be located at remote areas of the world and still build the website together.
A CMS website provides, at it’s core alone:
- Dynamic form builders
- Business or organisational directories
- Document management
- Image and multimedia galleries
- E-Commerce and shopping cart engines
- Forums and chat software
- and much more…
We are experts in Joomla! CMS – open source sofware which is available free under the GNU/GPL Licence Agreement. Further information about this is at http://www.joomla.org/content/view/5/6.
The software is free, the training manuals are available online, but many businesses and individuals still require a professional company like ourselves to configure the software and get the website to a “workable” state. We also provide regular training courses on Joomla! on both beginner and advanced levels.
